Millikin University Women's Basketball

The Millikin women's basketball team is having a stellar 2014-15 season both on and off the court.

On the court the Big Blue are 13-5 on the season and have one of the top offenses in NCAA Division III.  Millikin is ranked third in the nation in field goal percentage and in the top 15 in scoring offense.  Big Blue junior Alyssa Saklak is leading the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) in scoring averaging 17 points per game and has twice earned CCIW Player of the Week honors.

The Millikin women's team's excellent performance has continued in the classroom where the team had a cumulative grade point average of 3.55 for the fall semester.

While putting in countless hours on the court and in the classroom, the Big Blue women are still finding time to serve their community.  They hosted over 175 Special Olympic athletes at a game in November. During the semester break, the team spent time visiting with children at the Wee Folks Daycare and the Kids Castle Learning Center.

Millikin is heading into the final stretch of the second with seven games remaining.  The Big Blue are tied for third place and know they will have to continue their excellence on and off the court to end this season on a successful note.
