Miranda Colin has been dancing since the age of 3, and in high school she expanded her performing experience by being involved in musicals and show choir. Throughout her college career, she has performed in The 60’s Show, Madcap Mardi Gras, Spirit of America Trolley Show, and the Grand Finale show at Six Flags Great America for 2 summers. She also completed an internship at Walt Disney World where she worked as a character performer and performed in Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade. In addition to performing, she has choreographed Fischer Middle School’s musicals for 4 years. Her credits for choreography include The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, and Once Upon a Mattress.

Miranda has been in Millikin dance concerts her freshman and junior year. She is excited to take the stage again as a dancer, choreographer, and lighting designer. Miranda would like to dedicated her piece, Walk, to Anthony and Larry Sims.

 

Rachael Leek

"Amour T'es La", Choreographer

Rachael Leek was most recently seen in the Millikin Children’s show Super Sidekick: The Musical. She also appeared in Anything Goes at McLeod Summer Playhouse and  has worked on the design team for Umbrella Escapades at Millikin University. Rachael’s other credits include, Beauty and The Beast, Grease, and And Then There Was One. Rachael has also been seen at The Four Rivers Carson Center in The Russian Nutcracker Ballet as the Spanish Variation.

Cassidy Burroughs recently appeared in Pipe Dream Studio’s production of A Nightmare on Backstreet. At Manhattan Theatre Productions’, Cassidy’s credits include the concert production of Parade. At Open Space Cafe Theatre, Cassidy’s credits include Mimi Marquez in RENT. At Greensboro Day School, Cassidy’s credits include Wednesday Addams in The Addams Family, The Chaperone in Drowsy Chaperone, Aphrodite in Metamorphosis, and Mitzi in Crazy For You. Additional credits include: Les Miserables and 13 The Musical (Community Theatre of Greensboro).

 

McKena Silva

"Resolve", Choreographer

McKena Silva recently appeared in Casper College’s production of Legally Blonde as Serena. McKena was also in Millikin’s productions of The Addams Family and Solstice: A Concert of Dance. Her other credits include Stepsister Joy in Rodger and Hammerstein’s Cinderella and Alice in Alice in Wonderland at Casper’s Stage III. Finally, she has danced in the ensemble with the Idaho Ballet for their Holiday season (2014), and Colorado’s Ballet Ariel for their spring season (2015).

 

Laura Chiaramonte

"Disappearing Wonder", Choreographer

Laura Chiaramonte (Choreographer, Dancer, Teacher and Videographer) has been performing and producing work professionally for the past fifteen years and has worked with celebrated companies and artists such as Lynn Dally, Pat Graney, Jyl Fehrenkamp, Andrew Harwood, Carleen Healy, Gina Jacobs, Rebecca Nettl-Fiol, Kate Monson, Casey Pennel, DanszLoop Chicago, Thread Meddle Outfit, Total Theater, Deke Weaver, Zephyr Dance, and Molly Shanahan/Mad Shak. Laura has performed, taught workshops in dance and presented work throughout the United States and abroad. Laura collaborated with celebrated baritone Nathan Gunn and his wife, pianist Julie Gunn, on an original music recital at Carnegie Hall. In the summer of 2010, Laura was hired by Warner Bros as head choreographer for the rock band Foxy Shazam’s Unstoppable music video. In 1998, Laura received her B.F.A from The Ohio State University in modern dance performance with an emphasis in choreography, Laban Notation and Directing from Score and 2009 received her M.F.A in Dance at the University of Illinois Urbana/Champaign. Laura is the 2009 Pat Knowels Graduate Travel Award recipient, designated for outstanding MFA candidate. In the summer of 2008, she received a fellowship for the Choreographers Project at the Summer Stages Dance intensive in Concord, Massachusetts. She now teaches, dance at Millikin University, The Alexander Technique at the Mettler Center and is the Assistant Media Coordinator for the Department of Dance at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign.

Angela Fledderman Miller

Director/Choreographer

Assistant Professor of Theatre/Dance

Millikin University

Angela Fleddermann Miller has worked with choreographers including David Parsons, David Dorfman, and Patrick Corbin, in addition to choreographing and performing her own work in New York City. While in New York she was a member of the Amy Marshall Dance Company and Peter Pucci Plus Dancers. She performed with Disney and The MUNY in St. Louis. Choreography credits include Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and The Music Man at the Great Plains Theatre Festival, and L’Histoire du Soldat and A Chorus Line at the University of Illinois. She has performed with David Parker and the Bang Group and with her own company, Trashcake Dance-Theatre. She has studied on scholarship at Steps on Broadway and at the Joffrey Ballet, Alvin Ailey, Martha Graham, and Paul Taylor Schools. She holds a BFA in Dance from Webster University and an MFA in Dance Choreography and Performance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Angela is currently Assistant Professor of Theatre and Dance at Millikin University. Her most recent Millikin projects include the direction and choreography of Legally BlondePeter Pan, and Little Shop of Horrors.

 

Sean Morrissey

Sean T. Morrissey was the recipient of the Times Newspaper’s Outstanding Choreography award for his work on the Porthouse Theatre production of Dames at Sea and the Connecticut Critics Circle Best Choreographer Award for his work on the Candlewood Playhouse production of West Side Story. As a director/choreographer, Sean’s work includes Sweet Smell of SuccessLucky Stiff, Sweet Charity, Me and My Girl, No No Nanette, SugarDamn Yankees, Guys and Dolls, My Favorite Year, Kiss Me Kate, Drowsy Chaperone, The World Goes Round, and Grand Hotel. Other choreography credits include Carousel, The Merry Widow, Brigadoon, Pippin, Pump Boys and Dinettes, and Cabaret. In addition to musicals, Sean has choreographed 21 concert works for the Millikin stage. As a performer, Sean appeared in the original Broadway cast of the Alan Menken and Lynn Ahrens production of A Christmas Carol featuring choreography by Tony Award winner, Susan Stroman, the European tour of 42nd Street, the Vienna company of West Side Story, the Asian tour of South Pacific, and regional productions of Cabaret, Me and My Girl, Big River, Anything Goes, Singin’ In the Rain, Oklahoma!, and Gypsy. Sean is a graduate of Syracuse University and a proud member of Actors Equity Association and SAG/AFTRA.

Caroline last co-designed the Millikin Children’s Show Umbrella Escapades. Her production credits include acting as Costume Crafts Artisan for the Millikin Mainstage productions of Little Shop of Horrors, Nice Work If You Can Get It, HEADSHOT!, and being a stitcher for those three shows as well as the Mainstage production of Blood Wedding.

Matt Albrecht is a lighting designer from Madison, WI. Matt has had the opportunity to work in theaters across the United States. Some of his design highlights include The Greeks (Madison Repertory Theatre), The Water Engine (University Theatre), Into the Woods (Houston's Center Stage Theatre), The Temperamentals (Celebration Theatre), and Annie (Madison Theatre Guild). Matt has also had the opportunity to work with Peninsula Players in Door County, WI.

Victoria was the assistant stage manager for Legally Blonde Jr. and Dinosaurs Before Dark for the Decatur Park District. It is her third year teaching at the Decatur Park District and her first year teaching at the STAR dance studio in Sullivan. Victoria has worked as Marketing Director and Development Director for Pipe Dreams Studio Theatre. This is her first management position for a Millikin Mainstage production.

Caitlyn was most recently the assistant lighting designer for Nice Work If You Can Get It. She was also the assistant master electrician for HEADSHOT!, and the lighting designer for What I Didn’t Learn in College at Pipe Dreams Studio Theatre. She is the assistant scenic designer for Heathers: The Musical, coming this spring. 

 

Sydney Hunt

Sydney started her lighting career by designing a piece in the 2014 Equinox Dance Concert then continued to pursue her love of lighting by designing another piece for the 2015 Solstice Dance Concert.  Her next design project is serving as Lighting Designer for the upcoming show As You Like It.

Other shows she has worked on in the past four years include Fiddler on the Roof, Aladdin, Mary Poppins, The Wizard of Oz, Guys and Dolls, Peter Pan, Annie, Seussical the Musical, The Comedy of Errors, and Arsenic and Old Lace.

Therese became infatuated with lighting design after her first attempt at the art form in Solstice: A Concert of Dance (2013). At Millikin she has recently performed duties as the Master Electrician in The Addams Family and The Magic Pinafore, as well as designing the Millikin Mainstage productions of Blood Wedding and HEADSHOT!

Rachel has various acting credits in community theatre back home including devised works at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago, but her main focus is directing. Rachel assistant directed and helped write the Millikin Children’s Show Umbrella Escapades. She also assistant directed Nevermore: The Imaginary Life and Mysterious Death of Edgar Allen Poe at Pipe Dreams this semester. This is her first lighting design opportunity.
