Emily spent this past summer playing Sophie in Mamma Mia! at The Legacy Theatre in Springfield, IL. In the fall of 2018 she was seen as a nun at Kirkland Fine Arts Center in Sister Act and also in Millikin’s Mainstage production of Wintertime by Charles Mee as Ariel. Additional credits include: Grease (Rizzo), West Side Story (Anybodys), and Next to Normal (Natalie).

Nicole Cushman is so excited to be back on the Millikin stage! She has most recently appeared in her Mainstage debut in the devised children’s show, A Dragon Photobombed My Selfie (ensemble) at Millikin University. She also recently appeared in Oregon Straw Hat Players’ production of Hello, Dolly! (Ermengarde). Previous credits include Upstart Crows’ production of Inherit the Wind (Rachel Brown) and Verona Area Community Theatre’s Bring It On: the Musical (Truman cheerleader).

Taylor K. Porter is making her Millikin Mainstage debut. She has toured the country with Missoula Children's Theatre and has recently appeared in Pipe Dreams Studio Theatre's productions of The Undeniable Sound of Right Now as Bette and Unlatched. Other credits include Emily Webb in Our Town, Young Frankenstein, Oklahoma!, and Guys and Dolls (Prairie Players Theatre).

Michael Santos loves being a student here at Millikin University, and he's very excited to be part of this production! This is Michael's first Mainstage production at Millikin. His former experience includes (Swing) Strangest Things the Musical and (Ensemble) Carrie the Musical at Pipe Dreams Studio Theatre. His previous roles in community theatre include (Beadle Hanford) Sweeney Todd, (Adam/Ensemble) Children of Eden, and (Cinderella's Prince) Into the Woods at The Stahl Family Theatre.

Ruth is very excited to be making her Millikin Mainstage debut and her debut as a swing all at once alongside this excellent cast and crew. Her previous roles include Jo (Little Women), Belle (Beauty and the Beast), Dorothy (The Wizard of Oz), Fiona (Shrek the Musical), Nancy (Oliver!), and the Baker’s Wife (Into the Woods). She is so grateful to Paul for writing such a relevant and powerful play and allowing her to be a part of the exciting process of staging it!
Tom Robson, Director
Tom Robson is an Associate Professor of Theatre & Dance, teaching courses in theatre history, dramatic literature, directing, and playwriting. He holds a Ph.D. in theatre history, theory, and literature from Indiana University. Previous Millikin directing credits include Heathers: The Musical, Buyer and Cellar, Rough Magic, The Whipping Man, The Little Dog Laughed, the world premiere of Cracker for Pipe Dreams Studio Theatre, and staged readings of for colored girls who have considered suicide and PASS OVER. He has worked with professional companies including Writers’ Theatre, Timeline Theatre Company, Apple Tree Theatre Company, the Phoenix Theatre, and the Bloomington Playwrights’ Project.

He is currently working on writing a verbatim play about the life of SAE House Mother Nancy Olsen (his JMS project). He is very excited to finally share this story with the world! Have fun you guys!

Jana Henry, Costume Design
Jana is Associate Professor/Costume Director for the Department of Theatre & Dance. Selected professional credits include costume work for Universal Pictures, Kansas City Repertory Theatre, The Kansas City Ballet, The Station Theatre, and The Little Theatre on the Square. Jana earned her MFA in Costume Design and Technology from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She has been designing for Millikin since 1999.
Alaina Pizzoferrato, Lighting Design

This is Alaina’s first time working on a world premiere play, and she is very excited to be the Lighting Designer for Miss Me. This semester, she had the opportunity to be the Master Electrician for The Wolves. This year, she worked on Carrie: the Musical for Pipe Dreams Studio Theatre as the Lighting Designer, Julius Caesar as the Assistant Technical Director, and Master Electrician for Sister Act for Millikin University. Last summer she worked for The Summer Place Theatre and Drury Lane Theatre. This summer she will be working as an electrician for Contemporary American Theatre Festival.

Matt has had the opportunity to work in theaters across the United States. Some of his design highlights include The Greeks (Madison Repertory Theatre), The Water Engine (University Theatre), Into the Woods (Houston's Center Stage Theatre), The Temperamentals (Celebration Theatre), and Annie (Madison Theatre Guild). Matt has also had the opportunity to work with Peninsula Players in Door County, WI. Matt would like to thank the cast and crew for all of their hard work.
