Based on the 1960s cult horror film, this campy little pop-rock musical has been charming audiences for over 30 years. Join us for this clever musical from the writers of the Disney classics The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin and find out what happens.


There is construction blocking the closest parking lot to Shilling Hall where the Albert Taylor Theatre is located. Lots available for use are the Decatur Indoor Sports Center (DISC) across Main Street or Westminster Presbyterian Church across Fairview Ave. The Arrival Court is available to drop people off at, located off Main Street. We apologize for the inconvenience this causes.

Mia Angelique Fowler

Mia Angelique Fowler made her professional debut with Short North Stage’s production of Passing Strange (Edwina/Mariana/Sudabey) in 2013 and also performed with SRO Theatre Company and Shots in the Dark Theatre Company. She performed in Hairspray with Imagine Productions of Columbus in 2012, and again in 2014 with Columbus Children’s Theatre (Little Inez/Dynamite). She has additionally appeared in Imagine’s production of Chicago. Most recently she made her Millikin Mainstage debut in the show Rough Magic.

Kevin Long



Millikin University

Kevin Long is an Artist-In-Residence with Millikin University’s School of Music and Department of Theatre and Dance. He has worked in both educational and professional theatre in multiple positions including Musical Director, Director, Conductor, Music Supervisor, Vocal Arranger and Accompanist. Kevin has worked with several other colleges including Old Dominion University, Christopher Newport University and Virginia Wesleyan. He has worked with various Regional Theatre companies including The Lost Colony (Manteo, NC), Virginia Stage Company (Norfolk, VA), The Little Theatre on the Square (Sullivan, IL) and The Hangar Theatre (Ithaca, NY). During his time at Millikin he has served as Musical Director/Conductor for many shows including The Secret GardenSugar, Lucky Stiff, Damn Yankees, My Favorite Year, Little Women, A Chorus Line, Spitfire Grill, Urinetown, The Drowsy Chaperone, Spring Awakening, Legally Blonde, Peter Pan, and The World Goes ‘Round. Kevin has also served as director for Millikin’s productions of Ruthless and Cinderella. An advocate of New Musical development, he has collaborated with the Academy of New Musicals, Theatre Building Chicago, and Millikin University’s New Musicals initiative serving as musical director and music supervisor. Golden Gate (Spring 2011) was the first fully produced original musical on the Millikin University Mainstage season followed by String in Fall of 2013. Kevin is very proud to have been a part of that team.



Beth Creighton

Beth Creighton is an Adjunct Instructor of Music for the School of Music and Department of Theatre and Dance where she serves as an accompanist for a variety of classes (including Musical Theater Repertoire, Acting for the Musical Stage, Opera Workshop, Secondary Education Methods, Choral Techniques, and Class Voice), choral ensembles, and theatre productions. In the past, Beth served as Musical Director for Millikin's 2012 production of Cinderella.  Beth also works closely with the MU School of Education to place all Music Education majors for their student teaching experience during their last semester of study.  Besides her work with Millikin students, Beth is also the accompanist for the Millikin Children's Choir and Opus 24, a local vocal ensemble. Beth received her Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Music Education from Millikin University in 2001.

Barbara Mangrum

Barbara, an Associate Professor in the Design/Production Program, has designed scenery, lighting, and/or costumes for various productions at Millikin. She served as the costume designer for The Whipping Man and designed the scenery for Millikin’s productions of Measure for Measure and The Addams Family.


Jana Henry

Jana is Associate Professor/Costume Director for the Department of Theatre & Dance.  Selected professional credits include costume work for Universal Pictures, Kansas City Repertory Theatre, The Kansas City Ballet, The Station Theatre, and The Little Theatre on the Square. Jana earned her MFA in Costume Design and Technology from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.  She has been designing for Millikin since 1999.

Matt Albrecht is a lighting designer from Madison, WI. Matt has had the opportunity to work in theaters across the United States. Some of his design highlights include The Greeks (Madison Repertory Theatre), The Water Engine (University Theatre), Into the Woods (Houston's Center Stage Theatre), The Temperamentals (Celebration Theatre), and Annie (Madison Theatre Guild). Matt has also had the opportunity to work with Peninsula Players in Door County, WI.

Mary Black is Assistant Professor/Technical Director for the Department of Theatre and Dance. Recent Millikin credits include Lighting Design for Rough Magic, and Scenic Design and Technical Direction for The Magic Pinafore, Peter Pan, The Ladies Man, Legally Blonde: The Musical, and String. Previous design credits include Rent and Hamlet for the Station Theatre and several productions for the Decatur Park District Best of Summer Stock program. Previous technical credits include work for Indiana University’s Opera and Theatre programs, Iowa Summer Repertory Theatre, Brown County Playhouse, and University of Iowa’s Opera and Theatre programs. Mary earned her MFA in Technical Theatre from Indiana University.
