Kathleen Mitchell - Senior BFA Musical Theatre

Past Millikin credits include devised works Unlatched and Headshot!, Fugitive Songs, and A Nightmare on Backstreet. She also studied Shakespeare performance at Shakespeare’s Globe and performed while studying in London. She spent this past summer working with Missoula Children’s Theatre teaching children in New England life skills through the arts.

Mary Heyl - Senior BFA Acting, Dance minor

Mary is delighted to be a part of this amazing production. She was most recently seen in Unlatched at Pipe Dreams Studio Theatre. Other credits include Umbrella Escapades and Super Sidekick the Musical. She is also co president of Math Club improv troupe. Mary lived out her dream of studying in London last fall at The Globe Theatre and is excited to pursue performance in Shakespeare. Lucia Rossi recently appeared in Pipe Dreams Studio Theatre’s production of Strangest Things! The Musical. At New Threshold Theatre, Lucia was seen in Into the Woods and 13! The Musical. At Arkansas Public Theatre, Lucy appeared in The Addams Family.

 

Sophia Zinger

Sophia Zinger - Sophomore BFA Acting, Gender Studies minor

Sophia is thrilled to be making her Millikin Mainstage debut. She has most recently appeared in Chicago Youth Shakespeare’s productions of Macbeth (Lady Macduff), Hamlet (Gertrude), and Comedy of Errors (Luciana). Sophia also recently portrayed Heather Chandler in Encore Academy’s production of Heathers. She is also a member of Millikin’s improv troupe, Math Club.

Alexandra Naranjo

Alexandra Naranjo - Sophomore BFA Musical Theatre

Alexandra has recently appeared in the ensemble/swing of Mr. Burns: a post electric play (Millikin University) and as Emma Borden in LIZZIE (Pipe Dreams Studio Theatre). Back home in Texas, her favorite roles include Penny Pingleton in Hairspray (Collin Theatre Center), Marcy Park in 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Plano Reperatory Theatre), and Shelley Parker in Bat Boy (Art Center Theatre). She is very excited to be back on the Millikin Mainstage.

 

Devon Johnson

Devon M. Johnson - Senior BFA Acting

Devon worked with Missoula Children’s Theatre this summer as a tour actor and director for the show Peter and Wendy. Some of his other credits include Evita, Biloxi Blues, and Spamalot. Additional credits include Urinetown the Musical, Second Sheppard’s Play, and All is Calm. Devon would like to thank his brother Matt for getting his theatre career started and for his never ending love and support.

Her other credits include: Wintertime (female swing), Bachelorette (female swing), Nevermore: the Imaginary Life and Mysterious Death of Edgar Allan Poe (Player 6), Heathers: the Musical (Young Republicanette), Urinetown: the Musical (Mrs. Millenium), and The Addams Family (Morticia Addams).

Olivia Tharpe recently made her Millikin Mainstage debut in Phantom of the Opera. She was also seen in Pipe Dreams Studio Theatre’s production of LIZZIE, as Bridget, and the Moscow Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker. Mike Sickels

Mike Sickels - Junior BFA Acting

This is Mike's second show here at Millikin. In his first Mainstage role he was an understudy for Frank/Jonathan in Wintertime. Some of his other favorite roles have been Leaf in 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and Dr. Watson in Sherlock Holmes. He wishes everyone a good show and break a leg!

 

Rachel Pevehouse

Rachel Pevehouse - Sophomore BA Theatre

Rachel Pevehouse is thrilled to be making her Millikin Mainstage debut. Rachel was most recently seen as Norma Henshaw in The Diviners. She has also been seen as Evangeline Harcourt in Anything Goes and Jemima Potts in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Other credits include Bye Bye Birdie, Tarzan, and Annie.

Tanner made his professional debut in The Bridges of Madison County playing Michael Johnson at the Marriott Theatre in Chicago. He has also been seen in Millikin Mainstage’s productions of 9 to 5: The Musical (Dwayne/Ensemble), Heathers: The Musical, OVERCOME Cabaret (Soloist), Nice Work If You Can Get It (Jimmy Winters) and The Wall.

Alex Miller

Alex Miller, Director - Associate Professor

Millikin University

Mr. Miller is humbled to have the opportunity to work with such talented artists.  As an Associate Professor at Millikin University, Alex teaches all levels of Acting and Stage Combat. In addition to his university duties, he serves as artistic director for Shakespeare Corrected, an alliance between the Decatur Correctional Center and Millikin University, which immerses students and offenders in a 10 month collaborative process resulting in a full length annual production. The program finished its third production, Taming of the Shrew, in April. Heartfelt gratitude to the design and production staff who have created the world in which this production lives. Additional thanks go to his colleagues for being patient when they had no reason, Raymond and Debbie Miller for the lessons required in life, and to Angie, Aidan, and Miranda who make life a blessed joy.

Erin Cowger

Erin Cowger, Lighting Design - Junior BFA Design and Production

Fresno, California

This is Erin's first lighting design for Millikin Mainstage. Her past work includes lighting designer for Equinox: a Concert of Dance and Solstice: a Concert of Dance. Erin has also done assistant design work at Hope Summer Repertory Theatre for Godspell and An Illiad. Other Millikin credits include Intimate Apparel (Master Electrician) and 9 to 5: The Musical (Assistant Lighting Designer).

 

Terry Bivins​, Sound Design - First-year BFA Design and Production

Wyanet, Illinois

Before Millikin, Terry spent three summers as an intern at Festival 56, a theatre company in Princeton, Illinois, working as a Sound Board Operator and Electrician. He also designed the sets for Bureau Valley High School's productions of Legally Blonde, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and The Babbling Brooks.
