A darkly delicious story of misfit Veronica Sawyer and the shoulder-padded, scrunchie-wearing Heathers: the hottest and cruelest girls in all of Ohio. The vicious social order of high school is upset with the entrance of Veronica’s dark and sexy new boyfriend J.D. and his plans to put the Heathers in their place—six feet under.

Jordan Luty is ecstatic to be performing once again here at Millikin University. Previously, he has been seen in HEADSHOT! on the Millikin MainStage, The Last Smoker in America with Pipe Dreams Studio Theatre, and Unlock’d through the New Musicals immersion. He discovered his passion for theatre at age seven with The Great Plains Theatre, where he worked with many Millikin alumni, leading to his interest in the school. Julia Lindsey Whitcomb

Julia was most recently seen in Millikin’s Mainstage production of Nice Work If You Can Get It. Over the summer, she worked professionally at Hope Summer Repertory Theater in Holland, Michigan playing Little Inez in Hairspray, and Thing 1 in The Cat in the Hat. Other roles include Fantine in Les Miserables, Lorraine in All Shook Up, Babette in Beauty and the Beast, The Chaperone in The Drowsy Chaperone, and a disciple in Godspell. Here at Millikin, Julia has been a swing in Pipe Dream Studio Theatre’s productions of Venus in Fur and in the Mainstage production of Rough Magic. In 2014, Julia had the great honor of making her broadway debut at the Minskoff theater in New York City as a finalist in The National Musical Theater Awards, aka, “The Jimmy’s”. Julia would like to thank God for all the He does and all that He is. Proverbs 3:5-6.   


Levi Ehrmantraut

Last semester, Levi made his debut on the Millikin Mainstage as part of the ensemble in Nice Work If You Can Get It. In prior semesters, he was a swing in What I Didn't Learn In College and also an ensemble member of Nightmare on Backstreet, both shows ocurring at Pipe Dreams Studio Theatre. Other roles include Bert in Mary Poppins at Sleepy Hollow and Tobias Ragg in Sweeney Todd at the Springfield Muni.


Tanner Hake

Tanner Hake was most recently seen as Jimmy in Millikin’s Mainstage production of Nice Work If You Can Get It. He also been seen in Kaukauna Community Players Production of Bye Bye Birdie and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang; and most recently The Cole Porter Revue with Attic Theatre

Tom Robson


Associate Professor

Millikin University

Tom Robson is an assistant professor of theatre and dance, teaching courses in theatre history, dramatic literature, directing, and playwriting. He holds a Ph.D. in theatre history, theory, and literature from Indiana University. Previous Millikin directing experience includes Rough Magic, The Whipping Man, The Little Dog Laughed, the world premiere of Cracker for Pipe Dreams Studio Theatre, and staged readings of for colored girls who have considered suicide/when the rainbow is enuf and Pass Over. He has worked with professional companies including Writers’ Theatre, Timeline Theatre Company, Apple Tree Theatre Company, the Phoenix Theatre, and the Bloomington Playwrights’ Project. His scholarship has appeared in Theatre History Studies, Theatre Journal, Ecumenica: A Journal of Theatre and Performance, and the film journal Jump Cut. He had an essay in the 2015 collection Working in the Wings: New Perspectives on Theatre History and Labor, published by Southern Illinois University Press, and his next article will appear in the spring 2017 issue of the journal Theatre Design and Technology. He serves as the co-chair of the Millikin President’s Commission on Inclusive Excellence and the Vice Chair of the Council on Students and Academic Standards. He is the former chair of the Playwriting Symposium of the Mid-America Theatre Conference and currently serves as the chair of Pedagogy for the Association for Theatre in Higher Education.


Marielle Tepe

Assistant Director

This is Marielle’s first production serving as an assistant director. Her past credits include: HEADSHOT! on the Millikin Mainstage, Millikin Children's Show Umbrella Escapades; Annie in Annie Jr., Bunny in Medium Rare, and as Lowbutt and Dot in Honk! Jr. (Harlan Community Schools). This coming fall semester, Marielle will be serving as the Director for the Pipe Dreams Studio Theatre New Works staged readings.


Anna Corvera


Visiting Instructor of Dance

Millikin University

Anna Corvera is from St. Louis, MO. As a young dancer she performed with the St. Louis MUNY Opera, St. Louis Cultural Flamenco Society, and Six Flags St. Louis. She earned a BFA and MFA in Dance from the University of Illinois and The College at Brockport, respectively. She moved to New York and performed with The Lucky Artist Theater Company, Sankofa African Dance and Drum Ensemble, and Bill Evans Dance Company. She started her teaching career at New York University Department of Recreation and Athletics which led to choreographing commercials for Coca-Cola and a music video for Atlantic Records. She taught at Casper College in Wyoming and choreographed CATS, Pippin, Urinetown, and Lysistrata (An Ad-rap-tation). She also choreographed The Waste Land for Theatre of the Poor and L’Histoire du Soldat for the Wyoming Symphony Orchestra, and was a member of Dança Nova Dance Company. Anna is excited to return to the Midwest and start this new adventure with Millikin University.


McKena Silva

Assistant Choreographer

Sophomore BFA Musical Theatre, Dance Minor

Casper, Wyoming

McKena Silva recently appeared in Casper College’s production of Legally Blonde: The Musical as Serena. McKena was also in Millikin’s productions of The Addams Family (2015), and Solstice: A Concert of Dance. Her other credits include; Stepsister Joy in Rodger and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, and Alice in Alice in Wonderland at Casper’s Stage III. Finally, she has danced in the ensemble with the Idaho Ballet for their Holiday season (2014), and Colorado’s Ballet Ariel for their spring season (2015).


Claire Schmidt

While this is Claire’s debut working on a  Millikin Mainstage production, in the past she has worked with Pipe Dreams Studio Theatre as an assistant stage manager for Nightmare on Backstreet and as the Assistant Director/Costume Coordinator for What I Didn't Learn In College. Other productions she has served as dramatrug for are Godspell (Hysterical Productions) and A Christmas Carol (Xavier High School).


Mary Black

Recent Millikin credits include Scenic Design for Nice Work if You Can Get It, Lighting Design for Rough Magic and Scenic Design and Technical Direction for Peter Pan, The Ladies Man, and Legally Blonde: The Musical. Previous design credits include RENT and Hamlet for the Station Theatre and several productions for the Decatur Park District Best of Summer Stock program.  Previous technical credits include work for Indiana University’s Opera and Theatre programs, Iowa Summer Repertory Theatre, Brown County Playhouse, and University of Iowa’s Opera and Theatre programs. Mary earned her MFA in Technical Theatre from Indiana University.


Jana Henry

Jana is Associate Professor/Costume Director for the Department of Theatre & Dance.  Selected professional credits include costume work for Universal Pictures, Kansas City Repertory Theatre, The Kansas City Ballet, The Station Theatre, and The Little Theatre on the Square. Jana earned her MFA in Costume Design and Technology from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.  She has been designing for Millikin since 1999.


Matthew Albrecht

Matt Albrecht is a lighting designer from Madison, WI. Matt has had the opportunity to work in theaters across the United States. Some of his design highlights include The Greeks (Madison Repertory Theatre), The Water Engine (University Theatre), Into the Woods (Houston's Center Stage Theatre), The Temperamentals (Celebration Theatre), and Annie (Madison Theatre Guild). Matt has also had the opportunity to work with Peninsula Players in Door County, WI. Matt would like to thank the cast and crew for all of their hard work. Thank you J. Patrick. Marc Black

Marc is an electrician and carpenter from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was previously the Technical Supervisor for the Decatur Park District’s art programs, doing work that ranged from scenic carpentry to live sound mixing. His other past credits include Indiana University’s Opera Theatre, Cedar Rapids Opera Theatre, Cardinal Stage Company, Brown County Playhouse, and the University of Iowa Summer Repertory Theatre.

This Blake's first time Assistant Stage Managing a Millikin Mainstage production.
