Meghan Bryan was most recently seen as apart of Mission Control in HEADSHOT! directed by Kari Margolis on the Millikin Mainstage. Other Mainstage credits include the female swing in Blood Wedding, the Kangaroo in Peter Pan, and Patty Jenkins/Camera Man in The Plant That Ate Dirty Socks. Pipe Dreams Studio Theatre credits include Storyteller Understudy/Ensemble in Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, and Kali in On Stars Not Falling. Other theatre performance credits include performing on Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, whilst studying in London, as Isabella in Measure for Measure.

 

Kala Keller

This is Kala’s Millikin Mainstage debut. Previously, Kala was seen as Stacey in Pipe Dreams Studio Theatre’s production of A Nightmare On Backstreet, the collegiate premiere of playwright Ricky Glore’s original work. Other credits include: Asaka in Once on This Island, Rusty in Footloose, and Florence in The Odd Couple. Kala has also assisted in the administration of Alex Miller’s Shakespeare Corrected program and has guest student-directed a musical theatre workshop with Broadway in Chicago.

Katie was recently seen as Mara Love in Kari Margolis’ production of HEADSHOT! on the Millikin Mainstage. Other credits include Estelle in No Exit (Pipe Dreams Studio Theatre); Elle Woods in Legally Blonde, Fiona in Shrek, Gertrude in Seussical (Limelight Theatre Company); Penny in Hairspray, Essie in You Can’t Take It With You (Oswego Performing Arts); and Glinda in Wicked (Noble Fools Theatricals). Alex Miller

Associate Professor of Theatre

Millikin University

Alex Miller is humbled to have the opportunity to work with such talented artists. As an Associate Professor at Millikin University, Alex teaches all levels of Acting and Stage Combat. In addition to his university duties, he serves as artistic director for Shakespeare Corrected, an alliance between the Decatur Correctional Center and Millikin University, which immerses students and offenders in a 10 month collaborative process resulting in a full length annual production. The program is currently in the midst of producing As You Like It and will open the show in April. Heartfelt gratitude to the design and production staff who have created the world in which this production lives. Additional thanks go to his colleagues for being patient when they had no reason, Raymond and Debbie Miller for the lessons required in life, and to Angie, Aidan, and Miranda who make life a blessed joy.

Shelby Barros was most recently seen as Caroline in Island Song for Millikin's New Musicals 2017 workshop. Other credits include Lunie Muttercup in The Magic Pinafore (Millikin Mainstage); Judy in 9 to 5, Millie in Thoroughly Modern Millie, Sister Sophia in The Sound of Music, and Lina in Singin' in the Rain.

 

Trey DeLuna

Freshman BFA Musical Theatre

Trey DeLuna made his Mainstage debut last fall in Millikin’s production of Nice Work If You Can Get It. Previously, Trey has performed in Rodger’s and Hammerstein’s Cinderella as Prince Christopher, the musical Working as Mike LeFevre, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame as Quasimodo at Munster High School. His credits also include Beauty and the Beast and Fiddler on the Roof.

Last fall, he served as the Assistant Director for the School of Theatre and Dance's production of Rough Magic by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. He also served as the Props Master for A Nightmare On Backstreet and the Assistant Props Master for Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson at Pipe Dreams Studio Theatre. This past summer, he was the the Props Master for the Decatur Park District's productions of Annie and Xanadu

Sydney began her education at Millikin as a Stage Management major, but she quickly decided that was not for her and realized that she needed a different creative outlet. Since discovering her passion for lighting design, she has served as Lighting and Assistant Lighting Designer as well as Master and Assistant Master Electrician for various Mainstage productions at Millikin University. She is also the Managing Director for Pipe Dreams Studio Theatre. This is her first Millikin Mainstage production.

 

Melanie Wilson - Assistant Stage Manager

Melanie is thrilled to be the Assistant Stage Manager for this production. She was the Assistant Stage Manager for Solstice: a Concert of Dance on the Millikin Mainstage and the Assistant Stage Manager of Cock at Pipe Dreams Studio Theatre. High school credits include Assistant Stage Managing the IHSTF All-State production of RENT as well as other shows at her high school including Romeo and Juliet, Dracula, Our Town, Les Miserables, and Seussical the Musical.
