The Department of Sociology, Criminal Justice & Organizational Leadership invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track, Assistant Professor in Organizational Leadership to begin August 2019.
Qualifications include a Ph.D. in Leadership, Organizational Behavior or Organizational Development. ABD’s will be considered. Strong preference will be given to candidates with a commitment to excellence in teaching adults in accelerated, evening courses, both in classroom and online formats.
Millikin is interested in candidates whose research, work experience and teaching demonstrate a comprehensive perspective on leadership in both theory and practice. Desired areas of specialization include leadership theory, leadership ethics, organizational development and organizational behavior. Candidates may also be expected to teach courses in other core and elective courses as needed, teaching four courses per semester, as well as doing student advising.
The position will also include a significant administrative role including adjunct faculty coordination, course scheduling, and assessment. The successful candidate will be expected to work weekday evenings, in addition to attending meetings and events during the day as needed.
