Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated was founded on January 13th, 1913 on the campus of Howard University by 22 illustrious women. With a sisterhood of more than 300,000, Delta Sigma Theta has over 900 chapters both nationally and internationally. Our colors are Crimson and Cream and our mission statement is as follows: Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is an organization of college educated women committed to the constructive development of its members and to public service with a primary focus on the Black community. The Kappa Zeta Chapter was chartered on June 1st, 1973 here on Millikin's campus. It is one of the oldest Multicultural Greek Organizations. The chapter thrived for 10 long years. However, Kappa Zeta did lie dormant for 21 years before its re-activation in 2004. 2013 marked our 40th year here on Millikin's campus.
