Millikin Student becomes AmeriCorps Vista for 2019-2020 School Year

While here, Delphine was an International Business major with a Design Thinking for Leadership minor. She also pursued a Project Management Certificate in her time here on Millikin's campus. Born in Tanzania, she and her family arrived in the United States through the World Relief program. She is also from Wheaton, IL. When searching for a University, Delphine found that Millikin provided her with all of her essential requirements. Her journey here began as an Accounting major and she salutes Professor Kimberly Mungaray, who helped her discover what she loved to do.

She states “Accounting Professor and academic advisor Kimberly Mungaray helped me understand that my want to work with nonprofits, travel, and give back would be achieved if I switched to International Business. She saw how unhappy accounting made me”  “She opened my eyes to all the different possibilities as well as helped me pave the way to the start of my career.”
