Dear Millikin Students, Faculty and Staff,

As we complete this unprecedented semester, I write you for two reasons:

First, I want to thank you and applaud your efforts navigating and succeeding in our online/distance learning environment. Who could have imagined the transition required of us all just a few months ago, and more importantly, who could have doubted that Millikin would have been anything but resilient and formidable when faced with a challenge? In this extraordinary time, you have all stepped up and met the challenge.

Second, I am writing to announce that Millikin plans to offer on-campus instruction for the fall 2020 semester. The start of classes will be postponed until after Labor Day to allow for the best possibility of “close-to-normal” operations. We plan to have classrooms and residence halls open and operational. Specific dates regarding classroom instruction and move-in schedules will be announced in the coming weeks.

NOTE: Students should log on to their MUOnline account to verify that the permanent address on file is correct. Student account questions may by directed to Student Financial Services at 217.424.6317 or studentfinancialservices@millikin.edu

Millikin will continue to take safety precautions in keeping with guidelines provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Illinois Department of Health, and employ social distancing measures to assist in the health and wellness of our campus community.

I wish you a safe, healthy, and restful summer.

Sincerely yours in Millikin,

Patrick E. White
