Cap and Gown Pick Up

May 6, 7, 2020

10:00 a.m. -4:00 p.m.

 

For Undergraduate Students - Cap/Gown/Ticket pick up will be May 6 and 7, 2020, from 10:00-4:00 p.m. in University Commons Banquet Room A/B.  Once we check that you have completed your Millikin graduating student survey, paid your $75.00 graduation fee (to Student Financial Services), and your account is cleared, we will give you your 7 tickets (all attendees at the ceremonies must have a ticket, including children (infants and toddlers included).  You must complete the online Millikin graduating student survey in order to receive your 7 tickets and cap and gown  This is also where those who have earned honors cords will pick up their cords.  There will be an opportunity to receive extra tickets on Monday, May 11, 2020 at 4:00 p.m.  The extra tickets will be distributed two at a time to students lined up in the hallway by Albert Taylor Theatre on May 11th.

MBA Students - you will receive your cap/gown and tickets on April 23, 2020 at the MBA graduation reception.  Contact Jaclyn Cantwell, Assistant MBA Director, for more information.  There will be no rehearsal for MBA students.

Saturday, May 16, 2020

11:00 a.m. -12:30 p.m.

Rehearsal for all undergraduate students  is Saturday, May 16, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. -12:30 p.m.  It is extremely important that you attend this rehearsal to understand how the ceremony works. Registrar Jason Wickline will be there to answer any questions you might have about grades, honors, degree, etc.

Graduation Brunch
University Commons Dining Room

A brunch will be held prior to the ceremony in the University Commons Dining Hall.  This brunch includes various luncheon selections,  eggs cooked to order, waffle bar, a deli bar, a produce market, dessert bar, and beverages. RSVPs must be received by Monday, May 11, 2020.   Email Corey Clabaugh, Director of Dining Services at cclabaugh@millikin.edu or Lynette Bilyeu at lbilyeu@millikin.edu for reservations, or call Corey or Lynette at 217-424-6323.  Any Millikin student (including graduates) may use remaining meal plan or flex for their meal, but please include them in your RSVP count. Payment is required at the time of the brunch and the cost is $9.73 per person which includes tax.  We accept Flex, Cash, Checks (made out to ARAMARK), Credit (Visa and MC only) and debit cards. Please share this information with your family and ask them to email or call if they are interested in reserving space at the brunch.

Graduation Ceremony for MBA students is on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. in  Kirkland Fine Arts Center.  Graduates should arrive at 6:30 p.m. to line up for the processional into Kirkland.  No rehearsal for MBA graduation. 

Undergraduate students should arrive by 1:15 p.m. at the Decatur Civic Center on May 16, 2020. The ceremony will begin at 2:00 p.m.  Doors open at 12:30 p.m. for ticketed guests. ALL guests must have a ticket, including children and babies. We ask that you not bring balloons, air horns, beach balls and other disruptive devices into the Decatur Civic Center.  Please remember this is a formal occasion, and disturbances make it difficult for others to hear and enjoy. We anticipate behavior appropriate for a solemn, yet celebratory occasion. Seats available on a first-come basis. You will not be permitted into the Decatur Civic Center without a ticket! Each student will receive seven (7) tickets.
