Millikin University's EDGE program (Excellence Developed through Growth and Experience) offers a unique opportunity for select first-year students to adjust to the academic demands of college. Students selected for EDGE came to campus in early August to complete an intensive course prior to the start of Millikin's First Week orientation.
Millikin University student-athlete Jacob Hamilton, a sophomore chemistry major from Swansea, Ill., and a member of the Millikin Men's Tennis team, chose to attend Millikin to continue his athletic career but he also wanted to succeed academically.

Millikin University will honor over 140 graduates during its 2015 Winter Commencement ceremony on Sunday, Dec. 13, at 2 p.m. in Kirkland Fine Arts Center. Graduates from Millikin's traditional undergraduate program, evening degree completion program (PACE), and Master of Science in Nursing program will be honored during the ceremony.
Millikin University senior accounting major Alexander Koulos, of Naperville, Ill., was named Millikin University's recipient of the Lincoln Academy of Illinois' Student Laureate Award for 2015.
