Commercial music major advancing his own success

Commercial music major Jonathan Williams landed at Millikin University thanks to some inspiration he received from his high school music teachers. After learning his teachers were graduates of Millikin, Williams decided he wanted to become a part of the Big Blue community. Flash forward to the present; Williams is writing his own music, learning about studio work and the music industry.

Born in Mexico, Millikin University honors student Rubi Rodriguez grew up in Wauconda, Ill., after moving there when she was six years old. She has found "home" wherever she may be. The junior pre-med biology major, with minors in Spanish and psychology, has found her place in a variety of organizations and programs at Millikin.

With a major in business management and a minor in finance, the L.A. native plans to use his lifelong work experience in the hospitality industry to create a management company of his own.

Passion for helping others drives Millikin nursing major

Nick Cravatta is a second semester junior nursing major at Millikin University. The Sullivan, Ill., native went to Lakeland Community College for the first two years of his college career and then searched for a four-year school to transfer to.

Though Cravatta applied to multiple colleges, once he visited Millikin's campus he knew that the Big Blue community was the place for him.

Millikin experience helps student thrive as a leader and mentor

Anna Harmon, a senior biology and pre-occupational therapy major who's planning to get a master's in registered occupational therapy, gives Millikin University credit for helping her realize her full potential. "My biggest takeaway from Millikin is that I'm capable of so much more than I thought I was," said the Buffalo Grove, Ill., native.
