Millikin University student-run organization Big Blue Backpacks is once again beginning another year of providing nourishment and wellness for students in need at Dennis Lab School in Decatur, Ill. The organization officially kicked off its fourth year of providing bags of food for students during a press conference held at the Good Samaritan Inn on Sept. 6, 2019.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Newman Catholic team up to host community kickoff

"Eat mor chikin."

Millikin University students did exactly that at the Faith Community Kickoff hosted by Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and Newman Catholic on Thursday, Aug. 29, on the Miller Quad. The two organizations came together to provide Millikin students with a night full of fun, music, and yes, Chick-fil-A.

Millikin Pi Beta Phi chapter centers around philanthropy and volunteer service

Pi Beta Phi is a Women's Fraternity built on the model of servant leadership. Millikin University's chapter of Pi Beta Phi is a unique group of students who are musicians, teachers, writers, performers, entrepreneurs, athletes and mentors who focus their efforts on philanthropy and volunteer service.

An eye-opening conversation on the "Browning of the Midwest"

Millikin University invites the local community to an eye-opening conversation with acclaimed writer Dr. Santiago Vaquera-Vásquez on Thursday, Feb. 28 at 5 p.m. in the Doug and Diane Oberhelman Center for Leadership Performance, located on the 1st floor of the University Commons on Millikin's campus. The event is free and open to the public.

Millikin campus honors international holiday festivities

On Monday, Dec. 3, Millikin University's Oberhelman Center for Leadership Performance at the University Commons was filled with holiday cheer as students and faculty had the opportunity to learn about various international holidays while enjoying free food, music, crafts and sleigh rides.
