Alumni return for Millikin Homecoming festivities

Alumni and friends of Millikin University returned to campus to join the celebration of Millikin's 101st Homecoming Sept. 30 – Oct. 2. Millikin's 2016 Homecoming celebration began with a full week of activities starting with the Homecoming Kickoff Carnival on the Dr. and Mrs. J. Roger Miller Centennial Quad, featuring games, food and live music.

Big Blue Backpacks

Big Blue Backpacks, a new Millikin University student-run organization seeking to help alleviate childhood hunger, announced that the organization will start providing bags of food for students in need at Dennis Lab School starting Sept. 9.

Tomorrow's Leaders

The Collegiate DECA Leadership Academy is an annual conference that provides opportunities for students to gain valuable experiences in teamwork and leadership skills. Millikin students and DECA Executive Committee members Dejaujhn Thompson, a junior accounting major from Chicago, and Valina Hoang, a junior marketing major from Chicago, were among the attendees at the November conference in New York.

Millikin's University Center Board earns regional honors

The University Center Board (UCB), a student programming organization at Millikin University, received two awards at the Mid America Regional Conference of the National Association for Campus Activities (NACA). The conference was held Oct. 29 – Nov. 1 in Grand Rapids, Mich.
