Event highlights global celebrations
On Wednesday, Dec. 1, Millikin University's Oberhelman Center for Leadership Performance at the University Commons played host to a number of students, faculty and staff members who had the opportunity to learn about various international holidays while enjoying free food, music, and yes, iceless skating.
"We want students to be prepared to compete for the best jobs and stories in that evolving field."
To help students prepare for the evolving field of multimedia communication, Millikin University has launched a new student-run venture in the fall of 2021 called WJMU Productions.
Millikin welcomes visitors to campus for Halloween celebration
Millikin University welcomed families from throughout central Illinois to campus on Halloween to take part in the Office of Campus Life's Boo at MU. Visitors enjoyed a trunk or treat in the University Commons parking lot as well as music, additional activities and prizes.
Event to feature makers, crafters and artists from Millikin and local community
The Millikin University Center for Entrepreneurship and Women in Business student organization will host the first Millikin Makers Market on Saturday, Nov. 6, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the Oberhelman Center for Leadership Performance located on the 1st floor of the University Commons on Millikin's campus. The event is free and open to the public.
Chalk the Walk kickstarts Homecoming Celebration
Students representing numerous organizations at Millikin University had the opportunity to get creative and unleash the power of sidewalk chalk during the University's annual Chalk the Walk event on Oct. 1.
Millikin organization announces expansion, will serve 160 students with meals
Big Blue Backpacks, a Millikin University-based organization seeking to address food insecurity in the Decatur, Ill., community and the lives of children and families, will begin its sixth year providing nourishment to students in need at Dennis Lab School.
Celebration of Hispanic and Latinx culture includes guest speakers, student panel
Millikin University is proud to invite the campus community to its annual celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month celebrated nationally between Sept. 15 and Oct. 15.
