Millikin students, alumni offer insight into leadership development at Commons Celebration
Millikin University's celebration for its University Commons showcased a variety of events dedicated to "Leadership in Action through Performance Learning."

A long-standing tradition at Millikin University, First Week is a signature orientation program held each academic year before classes begin. First-year students are invited to campus for First Week to get acclimated to all the services provided and all the different things that can be expected on campus.

Millikin University welcomed its newest cohort of Long-Vanderburg (LV) scholars to campus for a five-day leadership academy July 19-23. During the academy, 16 scholars from various parts of the country worked together on projects that enhanced their academic and personal growth.
Millikin honors individuals for outstanding student leadership
Millikin University recognized student organizations, leaders and faculty at the 9th annual Student Development Leadership and Scholarship Awards Ceremony on May 3. The event honors programs and individuals that went above and beyond making the academic year a success and providing the Millikin community with visionary leadership.
For one day on the Millikin campus students are given an opportunity to present a years' worth of achievements and research to the University-wide community; that day is Celebrations of Scholarship (COS).
The celebratory event, held on April 28, was a culmination of academic achievement that represented a vast array of subjects in the fine arts, sciences, business, nursing and more.

Millikin University receives $10,000 grant from Ameren Illinois
Millikin University has received a $10,000 grant from Ameren Illinois to support the launch of a new Academic Diversity & Inclusion Grant Program (ADIG). The program will provide resources to support fresh, innovative programming ideas that foster diversity and inclusion among the academic disciplines at Millikin University.
