James Millikin Scholar earns prestigious honor
Millikin University senior, Angela Arnold, an international business major with minors in music and French, has been named a recipient of the Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) Turkish Program through the U.S. Department of State making her the first student at Millikin to receive the prestigious honor.

The Millikin University campus community annually connects to honor these achievements during the Honors Convocation and Distinguished Faculty Lecture.

Millikin University's chapter of The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi (PKP) inducted a total of 24 new members on March 22, 2022.

Honors Scholar becomes first Millikin semifinalist for Fulbright English Teaching Assistant Program
Angela Arnold, a senior international business major with minors in music and French, has been named a semifinalist for both the U.S. Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) Program to Kyrgyzstan and the Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) Turkish Program through the U.S. Department of State.
Nontraditional students awarded scholarships from Community Foundation of Macon County
Four nontraditional Macon County students from Millikin University received scholarship awards in Nov. 2021 to help them pursue their dreams of completing a college education to earn degrees in nursing, organizational leadership and early childhood education.

As the 2021-22 academic year at Millikin University is off and running, the Long-Vanderburg Scholars (LV) have found themselves feeling at home and ready to grow. This year, the LV Program has a driven group of eight students, and each student has a unique background and interests that they are able to bring to their classroom discussions and topics.
Summer Project exposes Millikin student to graduate-level research
During the summer months, most students say that time flies. Elexis Richardson, a Millikin University junior from Carbondale, Ill., has a different take on that popular phrase as she performs her summer research project for the Leighty Science Scholars Program.
