Millikin University and Richland Community College (RCC) have entered into a new agreement that will allow RCC nursing graduates to seamlessly transfer to Millikin University and complete their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Dr. Julie Bates, assistant professor of English at Millikin University, has been named the recipient of the 2019 Conference on College Composition and Communication (CCCC) Outstanding Dissertation Award in Technical Communication for her dissertation, "Toward an Interventionary Rhetoric for Technical Communication Studies."

Dr. Stephen Widenhofer: Beloved teacher, administrator, friend and mentor
Millikin University is deeply saddened to announce the death of Dr. Stephen Widenhofer, professor of music, who served as director of the Millikin School of Music from 2003-2017. Dr. Widenhofer passed away on Jan. 1, 2019 at the age of 67.
