Center for Theatre and Dance donors honored with signed beams

Millikin University's new Center for Theatre and Dance is quickly coming into focus, making its way to a projected completion date by fall 2020.

Local donors, students, faculty and staff recently took to the construction site of the Center on Wednesday, April 10 to celebrate its progress by signing their names on the final two beams of the building before they were lifted into place.

President White announces plans to retire effective June 30, 2020

Millikin University's 15th President Dr. Patrick E. White has announced plans to retire effective June 30, 2020. Dr. White was elected the 15th president of Millikin University in October 2013. He joined Millikin as the interim president in July 2013. Through his leadership, Millikin University has been revitalized and reimagined, and he has built a solid foundation for further growth and success.

Dr. Stephen Widenhofer: Beloved teacher, administrator, friend and mentor

Millikin University is deeply saddened to announce the death of Dr. Stephen Widenhofer, professor of music, who served as director of the Millikin School of Music from 2003-2017. Dr. Widenhofer passed away on Jan. 1, 2019 at the age of 67.

Men's Volleyball to start in 2019-20, Big Blue Water Polo set for 2020-21

The Millikin University Athletic Department is adding men's volleyball and men's and women's water polo to its lineup of NCAA Division III sports. The three new programs will give Millikin a total of 25 varsity sports.

Aramark celebrates ongoing commitment with Millikin University

For 10 years, Millikin University has maintained a strong partnership with Aramark who prides itself on working with universities. On Wednesday, Oct. 3, representatives of Aramark, including Sherwood Lincoln, regional vice president of Aramark, visited Millikin University's campus to celebrate the renewal of their partnership with Millikin for another 10 years.
