First 2017 Admission Delivered

Every one of our students has a story. For Allie Gray of Mt. Zion High School, who expressed such passion in wanting to attend Millikin University, President Pat White was thrilled to deliver news of her admission to the Class of 2021 and the School of Nursing in-person. We wish her – as well as everyone else receiving admission letters this fall – good luck.

Millikin, Heartland sign reverse transfer agreement

Heartland Community College (HCC) and Millikin University have announced a reverse transfer agreement that will benefit students who transfer from HCC to Millikin before earning their associate degree. Heartland President Rob Widmer and Millikin Provost Jeff Aper signed the agreement prior to the HCC board of trustees meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 16.

Millikin named to Forbes' 2016 Top Colleges Ranking

Millikin University is once again ranked among the nation's best colleges and universities by Forbes in its ninth annual Top Colleges in America ranking. Millikin is one of 26 colleges from Illinois to make Forbes' national ranking of 660 institutions.

Hickory Point Bank to fund Annual Student Scholarship at Millikin University

Hickory Point Bank has established a new $5,000 annual scholarship at Millikin University to aid students who have demonstrated a financial need, and whose hometown addresses fall within regions served by the bank, including areas in Decatur, Springfield, Peoria and Champaign, Ill.

Statewide science exposition puts Millikin on display

The Illinois Junior Academy of Science (IJAS) State Exposition made its way to Decatur, Ill., for the first time as Millikin University was the first private higher education institution in Illinois to host the annual exposition.
