Students gear up for finals week during annual Cookie Party
Students, faculty and staff members at Millikin University gathered in the University Commons on the afternoon of Dec. 8 to take part in the return of a beloved holiday tradition, the annual Cookie Party.

On Wednesday, Dec. 1, Millikin University's Oberhelman Center for Leadership Performance at the University Commons played host to a number of students, faculty and staff members who had the opportunity to learn about various international holidays while enjoying free food, music, and yes, iceless skating.
Millikin welcomes visitors to campus for Halloween celebration
Millikin University welcomed families from throughout central Illinois to campus on Halloween to take part in the Office of Campus Life's Boo at MU. Visitors enjoyed a trunk or treat in the University Commons parking lot as well as music, additional activities and prizes.
Fair gives Millikin students the chance to have real conversations with employers
On Sept. 29, Millikin University's Center for Academic & Professional Performance (CAPP) hosted their annual fall Career & Internship Fair inside the University Commons. The fair featured more than 30 prospective employers across diverse industries and regions, helping students explore a variety of future career options.
Chalk the Walk kickstarts Homecoming Celebration
Students representing numerous organizations at Millikin University had the opportunity to get creative and unleash the power of sidewalk chalk during the University's annual Chalk the Walk event on Oct. 1.

As the 2021-22 academic year at Millikin University is off and running, the Long-Vanderburg Scholars (LV) have found themselves feeling at home and ready to grow. This year, the LV Program has a driven group of eight students, and each student has a unique background and interests that they are able to bring to their classroom discussions and topics.

For many students, going away to college is the first time a person spends a significant time away from home. Many students transition to living on campus in a residence hall with a roommate. The most successful campus housing supports academic and developmental needs of students, but there are plenty of questions on how to make a shared space work successfully, especially during one of the most challenging times the world has seen.
Celebration of Hispanic and Latinx culture includes guest speakers, student panel
Millikin University is proud to invite the campus community to its annual celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month celebrated nationally between Sept. 15 and Oct. 15.

Classes are underway for the fall 2021 semester at Millikin University. The start of a new academic year is always a special time at Millikin, with new students and faculty, new relationships, new scholarship and engagement beginning again after the summer months.
