As a high school student, A.D. Carson '04 aspired to become a professional rapper. Years later, the Millikin University graduate has made a name for himself as not only a performing artist, but an educator serving as an assistant professor of Hip-Hop and the Global South at the University of Virginia.

Millikin student newspaper wins four ICPA Awards

Millikin University's student-run newspaper, the Decaturian, won four awards at the Illinois College Press Association (ICPA) annual convention, held Feb. 17-18 in Chicago. 

The Decaturian staff received honorable mention for General Excellence in the division for non-dailies with a circulation of less than 4,000.
