Millikin Spring Commencement ceremonies set for May 20-21
Millikin University's Spring 2017 Commencement ceremonies for all graduating students will be held on the weekend of May 20-21, 2017.
Millikin's traditional ceremony for students will be on Sunday, May 21 at 2 p.m. at the Decatur Civic Center. The commencement ceremony will be available for live stream viewing at millikin.edu/graduation.
'Heathers: The Musical' makes its way to Millikin
"Heathers: The Musical" is coming to Millikin University. Students will perform the dark comedy Thursday, May 4 through Sunday, May 7 at Shilling Hall's Albert Taylor Theatre.

The large library windows of Dennis Lab School in Decatur have seen some changes this spring. Earlier this April, artwork designed by Millikin University visual media students was installed on the library windows. The design reflects Dennis Lab School and the school's impact on the community.

Accounting students provide free tax preparation services
Millikin University accounting students in the Tabor School of Business provided free tax preparation services to local residents in the Decatur, Ill., community before the filing deadline on Tuesday, April 18.
The service was hosted by the Decatur Public Library where Millikin IRS-certified students prepared, checked and filed federal and state tax forms as part of the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program.
Millikin, local community partner to Knock Cancer out of the Park
In a collaborative effort to "Knock Cancer out of the Park," the Millikin University campus community and the Big Blue softball team worked together to raise proceeds for Come Together Let's Walk to serve the Decatur and Macon County area in the fight against cancer.
Millikin nursing students learn how to advocate for policy
The School of Nursing at Millikin University offers a course in its graduate program that focuses on health policy and economics. One of the unique aspects of the course is an opportunity for graduate students to engage in Lobby Day at the State Capital Complex in Springfield, Ill. This year's Lobby Day was held on Tuesday, March 21.
