In 1995, Paul Branton graduated from Millikin University earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Commercial Art, 26 years later, he has returned to campus to show the community his artistic work as part of Millikin's Black History Month celebration.

National search underway for permanent director

Millikin University has appointed Bryan Diver as interim director of Kirkland Fine Arts Center following the retirement of Jan Saddoris-Traughber as director of Kirkland Fine Arts Center on Dec. 11, 2020. Diver assumed his new role as interim director on Jan. 4, 2021. A national search is currently being conducted for a permanent director.

For more than 60 years, Millikin University's Vespers has signaled the start of the holiday season in central Illinois. This past December, audiences virtually witnessed the much-beloved tradition featuring rousing new musical experiences and a "best of" compilation from Vespers past.

Millikin professor's book maps the historical terrain of forensic musicology

The field of forensic musicology has played an integral role in music copyright infringement cases for quite some time. Only recently has the field gained national attention thanks in large part to high-profile copyright infringement cases, such as collaborators Pharrell Williams and Robin Thicke versus Marvin Gaye's estate, centered on the hit song, "Blurred Lines."
