Millikin radio station earns four national IBS nominations

Millikin University student-run radio station 89.5 WJMU The Quad received a Golden Microphone Award at the 81st Annual Intercollegiate Broadcasting System (IBS) Media Conference and Awards on March 6. The campus station's programming and student staff also received finalist nominations for four Golden Microphone Awards for their work done in 2020.

MU Moot Court teams garner accolades including Outstanding Team and Best Oral Argument Awards

Millikin University student attorneys took home top honors at the 2021 Model Illinois Government (MIG) Moot Court Competition held Feb. 26-27. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the competition was held virtually on Zoom with preliminary rounds held on Feb. 26 and the finals on Feb. 27.

Millikin University senior criminal justice major and Carbondale (Ill.) native Eva Anthony did not intend on attending college in her home state, let alone a small private institution like Millikin. The Millikin University Actuarial Science program in the Department of Mathematics and Computational Sciences has been recognized by the Society of Actuaries (SOA) as an Advanced Curriculum Program earning the level of UCAP-AC.
