During Millikin University's Celebrations of Scholarship, a day where multiple research presentations are held across campus, the Tabor School of Business brings competition to the forefront as students put their ideas on the line.
For one day on the Millikin campus students are given an opportunity to present a years' worth of achievements and research to the University-wide community; that day is Celebrations of Scholarship (COS).
The celebratory event, held on April 28, was a culmination of academic achievement that represented a vast array of subjects in the fine arts, sciences, business, nursing and more.
Students to showcase academic achievements at Celebrations of Scholarship
The outstanding academic work of Millikin University students will be showcased at Millikin's 2017 Celebrations of Scholarship (COS) on Friday, April 28. A full day of student presentations will be held from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. throughout Millikin's campus.
Many undergraduates at Millikin University have opportunities to engage in various research projects each academic year. Through research studies, Millikin students gain Performance Learning skills that are necessary for post-graduate work.
Inside the labs of the Leighty-Tabor Science Center, three Millikin students are working on breast cancer cell research this fall in collaboration with Dr. Jennifer Schroeder, Millikin associate professor of biology.
Entrepreneurs enter Millikin's version of Shark Tank at Celebrations of Scholarship
Aspiring entrepreneurs entered Millikin University's version of Shark Tank on April 29 as part of Celebrations of Scholarship. Students showcased their ideas and concepts during the 2016 Business Creation Competition while first-year students competed for prizes in the Freshman Business Plan Competition.
