Millikin University students and central Illinois area residents will have the unique opportunity to learn from two retired members of the United States House of Representatives during a Congress to Campus event on Thursday, Sept. 21, on Millikin's campus. The Campus Congress Program is provided by The United States Association of Former Members of Congress.

The Millikin University Institute for Science Entrepreneurship (ISE), a signature program of Millikin's Center for Entrepreneurship, is pleased to announce its speaker series for the fall 2017 semester. This fall, all presentations will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the new University Commons on Millikin's campus. Presentations are free and open to the public, and no tickets or reservations are required.
A long-standing tradition at Millikin University, First Week is a signature orientation program held each academic year before classes begin. First-year students are invited to campus for First Week to get acclimated to all the services provided and all the different things that can be expected on campus.
Millikin University celebrated the opening of its new front door to campus, the University Commons, on Monday, Aug. 21. Throughout the day celebration, guided tours of the University Commons were provided, highlighting some of the technological and conceptual innovations in the building.
One of the highlights of First Week orientation at Millikin University is the annual Day of Action. Day of Action is Millikin's opportunity to give back to the Decatur, Ill., community by sending students into the neighborhoods for service opportunities.
The start of the 2017-2018 academic year at Millikin University began with Move-In Day for first-year students on Aug. 15. Several returning students at Millikin helped the first-year students get moved in and acclimated to the campus environment.
