Biology undergrads begin independent research experiences

Millikin University students are being flexible this summer as plans for their individual research projects have seen some changes. Due to COVID-19, students were not able to start their research when they originally planned and there will be many precautions as they start this essential part of their education.

Millikin billiards club promotes teamwork and togetherness

Millikin University's Big Blue Billiards is a club sport organization that promotes teamwork, self-discipline, togetherness and competition. The specific purpose of the organization is to allow college students the opportunity to participate in the sport of pocket billiards.

A homecoming for Millikin University's newest President

Dr. James M. Reynolds officially began his new role as Millikin University's 16th President on July 1, succeeding Dr. Patrick E. White who retired after serving as president since 2013.

Reynolds comes to Millikin after serving as president of Wilmington College in Wilmington, Ohio, a position he held since 2012 after serving as interim president from August 2011 – February 2012.

Millikin experience helps pianist become a better musician and performer

Leon Lewis-Nicol's story is one of dedication. A native of Freetown, Sierra Leone, the West African native taught himself the piano for 10 years before moving to the United States in 2016 – an accomplishment he's very proud of because "it shows that nothing is impossible regardless of one's background," he says.

Programs to be delivered through Zoom video conferencing and Google Classroom

The Millikin University School of Music Preparatory Department has announced a series of online programs for students who want to learn more about music and music making with guidance from experienced teachers and musicians. Programs will all be delivered through Zoom video conferencing software and Google Classroom. Millikin's 2020 online summer music camps will be held June 29 – July 31.
