Millikin University will welcome athletes and loyal supporters of women's athletic teams back to campus May 13-15, 2022, for a celebration weekend to honor 50 years of women's athletics at Millikin.

Millikin's Women in Athletics celebration will be full of events that allow the university to recognize athletes as part of a Big Blue tradition of trailblazers.

Music Industry conference shines light on creative community

Singers, musicians, producers and artists are invited to attend the 5th annual Midwest Music Expo (MmX™), returning to Millikin University on Saturday, May 7, 2022. The Midwest Music Expo will be held in the University Commons on Millikin's campus from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Tickets are $20 to attend, and parking is free.

Millikin professor studies lead poisoning in birds of prey

America's bald eagle population has soared back after the species nearly went extinct several decades ago. But these birds of prey are being threatened once again. Bird flu has killed dozens of bald eagles this year and new research indicates that lead poisoning is also killing the birds.

Dr. Danielle Alesi to serve as scholar at Newberry Library's NEH Summer Institute

Dr. Danielle Alesi, assistant professor of history at Millikin University, has been named a Scholar-in-Residence at the prestigious Newberry Library in Chicago, Ill., where she will serve as a scholar this summer for the Newberry Library's National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Summer Institute, "Mapping the Early Modern World."
