CCIW to explore competition and championships in the spring

The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Council of Presidents is suspending all fall sports athletic competition and championships for the 2020-21 academic year. The conference office will explore CCIW competition and championships in the spring.

Music has always found a home in Chicago and 2020 is the year of Chicago music. It's also the 35th year for the nonprofit organization Arts & Business Council of Chicago (A&BC). The organization is committed to bringing its business know-how to help support the next generation of creative entrepreneurs in an effort to help recover and rebuild the creative economy and ensure that the beat goes on.

"Bullying is a complex issue. Most kids think that, in order to stop a bullying situation, you have to directly confront the bullies. However, that can backfire or make things worse. Sometimes, a smaller act can make a bigger impact. You can be a hero by sitting next to someone at lunch or including someone in your group of friends. The world, especially right now, needs more heroes."

Student using summer apprenticeship to gain experience in theatre industry and marketing

It still may be a while until the theatre industry is fully up and running, which is why Millikin University student Katie Bodlak chose to expand her options of summer internships when the pandemic hit.
