Made it Millikin: Jensen Cearlock

Jensen Cearlock, a junior health promotion major originally from Decatur, Ill., did not start her academic journey at Millikin University. Beginning college at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Mo., as a communication major, she didn't quite feel at home. When COVID-19 changed the world and Cearlock returned to Decatur, she realized that her next stop on her academic journey was right in front of her at Millikin.

Millikin basketball players step up in leadership roles

The Millikin University women's basketball team is continuing its successful start to the 2021-22 season following a recent 87-43 win over Eureka College on Jan. 3. Millikin is 10-3 on the season as the Big Blue set to return to College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) play.

Senior year, for most students, can end up being a crazy roller coaster. The moments these seniors experience can be a scary, yet exciting new step in their lives. Cal Pohrte, a senior sports management major from New Lenox, Ill., will forever remember the friends and memories made at Millikin.

Millikin alum's book captures four-month travels, experiences and important lessons

During his senior year of high school in St. Joseph, Mo., Alex Bergland sustained a severe concussion and spinal injury from a diving accident. Effects from those injuries were serious enough to prevent him from attending classes for a month and caused his decline from a high-achieving student to barely reaching graduation.

Millikin Clarinet Choir to perform four musical selections at conference

The Millikin University Clarinet Choir has been invited to perform at ClarinetFest® 2022 June 29-July 3 at the Peppermill Resort in Reno, Nev. ClarinetFest® is an annual conference hosted by the International Clarinet Association that features a diverse and comprehensive program centered around the theme of "Connecting People, Ideas and Cultures."

Millikin University has a long-standing history of women's athletics, and now, over 50 years and 10 NCAA teams later, Millikin is celebrating a proud tradition of women wearing the Big Blue.
