Makers, Crafters and Artists showcase products

Starting your own business can be thrilling and exciting, but it can also be a daunting experience that requires much planning and key decision-making. Sometimes all you need is the right space and motivation to make it happen. 

Millikin University's first Makers Market, hosted on Nov. 6 in the University Commons, gave makers, crafters and artists that space to showcase a wide variety of goods and services.

MU Nursing students inducted into Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society

Millikin University nursing students, ranging from the undergraduate, Master's Entry Into Nursing Practice, Master of Science in Nurse Educator and Doctor of Nursing Practice programs were inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau National Nursing Honor Society on Oct. 23 at the Prairie Heart Institute in Springfield, Ill.

Millikin welcomes visitors to campus for Halloween celebration

Millikin University welcomed families from throughout central Illinois to campus on Halloween to take part in the Office of Campus Life's Boo at MU. Visitors enjoyed a trunk or treat in the University Commons parking lot as well as music, additional activities and prizes.

Millikin's most beloved holiday event returns Dec. 4-5

Millikin University's most beloved holiday event Vespers returns Dec. 4-5, 2021, at Kirkland Fine Arts Center. Performances will be held on Saturday, Dec. 4, at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and on Sunday, Dec. 5, at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. All attendees will be required to wear a mask while inside Kirkland Fine Arts Center and adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Theatre student puts on her own work this fall

Maya Gomez says her favorite thing about Millikin University is that the university is very open to giving students the opportunity to create their own projects. Gomez, a sophomore theatre and performance major from Galesburg, Ill., is one of these students who gets to put on her own work this semester.
