Millikin University students are being flexible this summer as plans for their individual research projects have seen some changes. Due to COVID-19, students were not able to start their research when they originally planned and there will be many precautions as they start this essential part of their education.
Millikin University junior biology major Alyssa Vignos, of New Berlin, Ill., has received a 2020 Billings Field Biology Summer Research Fellowship.

In light of the shortages of personal protective equipment (PPE) during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Millikin University Chemistry and Biology Departments as well as the School of Nursing donated supplies to HSHS St. Mary's Hospital and Decatur Memorial Hospital (DMH) in Decatur, Ill., on Wednesday, March 25.

All Mackenzie Martin wanted to do as a young girl was pick up a book and read. When she was told that she needed to limit her time reading due to issues with her vision, she was traumatized.
A native of Paris, Ill., Martin went through a few years of constant visits to the optometrist office for vision therapy sessions.
