But for Amy Turner ’05, moving to Cambodia to work with Hope for Justice, a global organization that fights human trafficking and slavery, was years in the making and a lifelong passion realized.

Art students craft chili bowls in support of Good Samaritan Inn

Art students from Millikin University used their creativity to help raise proceeds for a local community center as part of the annual Empty Chili Bowl Fundraiser on Dec. 8 in the University Commons Ballroom.

Millikin students created 130 ceramic chili bowls for the event. The bowls were sold for $10 each and profits went to the Good Samaritan Inn of Decatur, Ill.

Student Loan Report ranks colleges for creative arts scholarships awarded

Millikin University has been recognized by Student Loan Report as one of the top 150 private colleges that offer the most creative arts scholarship aid.

Hundreds of private schools were analyzed in the study and were evaluated based solely on the amount of creative arts scholarship aid awarded. Millikin was ranked No. 23.
