Following a one-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Millikin University School of Music's annual Hollis Prize competition will return in a virtual format with two livestream broadcasts.
Without a doubt, 2020 will be a year not soon forgotten. There were many challenges, but the local Decatur, Ill., community is confronting those challenges head-on and gradually seeing life return to "normal."
Millikin University will celebrate the Class of 2021 with two in-person Graduation ceremonies on Sunday, May 16, at Kirkland Fine Arts Center on Millikin's campus. Undergraduate and graduate students, including doctoral students, will be honored during the ceremonies.
This past February, more than 100 Millikin University Choir alumni of all eras united to see and hear themselves participate in a virtual rendition of "Lord Make us Instruments of Your Peace."
The Millikin University campus community will celebrate Women's History Month throughout the month of March with a variety of events and notable speakers. Millikin's celebration will not only honor women empowerment, but also reflect on the contributions women have made and continue to make.
