This fall, campus feels closer to normal. While we are still masked and abiding by state regulations, students and faculty are meeting more in-person and events are happening on campus. Students and faculty continue to approach their respective roles with resilience despite the apparent obstacles.

Winter Commencement to recognize traditional undergraduates and Doctor of Nursing Practice graduates

Millikin University will honor over 100 graduates from the Class of 2021 with an in-person winter commencement ceremony on Sunday, Dec. 12, 2021, beginning at 2 p.m. at Kirkland Fine Arts Center.

The digital media marketing curriculum at Millikin University offers a hands-on learning approach where students not only learn the core concepts of marketing, but they can build their skills through initiatives such as learning to create an integrated marketing communication campaign, designing a social media strategy or planning an event.

Millikin's most beloved holiday event returns Dec. 4-5

Millikin University's most beloved holiday event Vespers returns Dec. 4-5, 2021, at Kirkland Fine Arts Center. Performances will be held on Saturday, Dec. 4, at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and on Sunday, Dec. 5, at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. All attendees will be required to wear a mask while inside Kirkland Fine Arts Center and adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Millikin nursing students honored at Legacy of the Lamp ceremony

Florence Nightingale set a standard of caring for all nurses to follow. Often called "the Lady with the Lamp," Nightingale paved the way for the heroic work of nurses today. Her compassion set her apart from others as she gained her famous moniker for checking in on her patients by lamplight, often writing letters to loved ones at home on their behalf.

Fair gives Millikin students the chance to have real conversations with employers

On Sept. 29, Millikin University's Center for Academic & Professional Performance (CAPP) hosted their annual fall Career & Internship Fair inside the University Commons. The fair featured more than 30 prospective employers across diverse industries and regions, helping students explore a variety of future career options.
