Millikin University honored members of the Class of 2020 with a virtual winter commencement ceremony on Dec. 13. The virtual graduate celebration was a unique and exciting experience for Big Blue graduates and their friends and families as well as for fellow Big Blue alumni everywhere.

Millikin graduate to join Intensive Care Unit
Millikin University student Hailey Quinlan is set to graduate this December from the Millikin School of Nursing as a registered nurse. Following graduation, Quinlan will begin her career at Decatur Memorial Hospital as a nurse on the Intensive Care Unit.

Wilmington College in Wilmington, Ohio, has named Millikin University alumnus Dr. Trevor M. Bates '02 as its 19th president. Bates describes the opportunity as "the greatest honor of my professional life."

Vespers 2020: All Is Bright
For more than 60 years, Millikin University's Vespers has signaled the start of the holiday season in central Illinois. With just over 6,500 attendees each year, Vespers is one of Millikin's most popular events, and the heartfelt mix of carols, choirs and candlelight has become a much-beloved tradition celebrating the community's creativity and good cheer.
