In response, faculty and staff at Millikin University have brought classes to online and distant learning modes, students have adapted and continued learning in new ways, all working to keep Millikin's Performance Learning mission going.
Dear Millikin:
The tragic and unjust death of George Floyd and other recent injustices in the black community are a piercing reminder of the deep racial divide in our country. As an institution of higher learning committed to inclusion and social justice, Millikin University encourages us all to examine our country, our community and ourselves, and learn from these horrific tragedies.
Our newest issue of Millikin Magazine serves as a retrospective of all that President Patrick E. White and his wife, Chris, have done to strengthen our beloved University as we continue to move boldly into the future.

The graduates of the Millikin University Class of 2020 will always have a special place in the heart of Millikin President Dr. Patrick E. White. One reason; they are the first class in the history of the university to celebrate commencement virtually. The second reason; President White is retiring at the end of June.
Ruth Lenore (Sutton) Scott, 97, of Baldwin City, Kan., passed away Thursday, May 7, 2020, at Baldwin Healthcare and Rehab in Baldwin City.
Edward D. LeFevre, 84, of Peoria, Ill., passed away on May 4, 2020, at Lutheran Hillside Village Care Center in Peoria.
Dr. Marjorie Otero-Clark, age 94, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2020, in Fenton, Mich. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Robert L. Clark, in 2007. She was born September 10, 1925, in Albion Ill., the daughter of John and Isabelle Horton.
Leon H. Flitz, 87, of Decatur, Ill., passed away at 6:28 p.m., Thursday, May 7, 2020, in his residence.

Warren George Reckmeyer, 96, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2020, at Pinecrest Manor in Mt. Morris, Ill.
