Millikin University honored members of the Class of 2020 with a virtual winter commencement ceremony on Dec. 13. The virtual graduate celebration was a unique and exciting experience for Big Blue graduates and their friends and families as well as for fellow Big Blue alumni everywhere.

Millikin University has been nationally recognized as one of the best schools in the country for financial aid in 2020 by LendEDU, an online platform that helps consumers learn about and compare financial products, including student loans. Millikin University's total financial aid score ranks No. 7 in the country and No. 1 in Illinois.

Millikin announces reduced tuition for new Macon County students, 0% tuition increase for current students

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought forth extraordinary circumstances that have impacted Illinois communities, including Macon County. With this in mind, Millikin University has responded by addressing undergraduate tuition for the 2021-22 academic year for both new and returning students.

Ranking measures resources, engagement, outcomes and environment

Millikin University is among the elite colleges and universities recognized in the Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education (WSJ/THE) 2021 College Ranking released on Sept. 14, 2020. Millikin is ranked No. 371 of 797 institutions nationally, and 85th out of 212 institutions in the Midwest.

Millikin University has once again been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a leading institution in higher education in its 2021 "Best Colleges" guidebook, released on Sept. 14, 2020. Millikin is ranked No. 12 in the Best Regional Colleges in the Midwest category, making Millikin the highest ranked college in Illinois on this list.

Millikin offering a variety of in-person, online and hybrid courses

Millikin University students, first-year and returning, made their way back to campus from Aug. 12-21 to move into their residences for the start of the new academic year on Aug. 24.

As expected, the busiest day for new students to move in was on Friday, Aug. 21. Among the first-year students was Ramsey Folkerts who drove 10 hours from Sioux Falls, S.D., to attend Millikin.
