For many students, going away to college is the first time a person spends a significant time away from home. Many students transition to living on campus in a residence hall with a roommate. The most successful campus housing supports academic and developmental needs of students, but there are plenty of questions on how to make a shared space work successfully, especially during one of the most challenging times the world has seen.

Washington Monthly names Millikin a Best Bang for the Buck Midwest university

Millikin University has been recognized by Washington Monthly in its 2021 College Guide and Rankings, released on Aug. 30, as being a top Bachelor's College and a Best Bang for the Buck Midwest university.

Millikin recognized for Value, Social Mobility and Undergraduate Nursing

U.S. News & World Report has recognized Millikin University as a leading institution in higher education in its 2022 "Best Colleges" guidebook, released on Sept. 13, 2021. Millikin is ranked No. 12 in the Best Regional Colleges in the Midwest category, making Millikin the highest ranked college in Illinois on this list.

Millikin celebrates one year with newest president

This July, Millikin University celebrates one year with its newest president, Dr. Jim Reynolds. To mark this special occasion and to help us know him even better, President Reynolds agreed to answer all the questions that we wanted to ask this past year. Big Blue Orientation Days welcome newest students to Millikin

New student orientation at Millikin University is the first step in becoming acclimated to the Big Blue campus community. Over a four-day period, June 14-17, the Millikin University campus community welcomed the newest students from the Class of 2025, as well as their parents and families, as they kicked off their on-campus experience.
