Education major brings agriculture to elementary school students
Millikin University junior Gretchen Gould is working to bring agriculture back into elementary school classrooms with the help from her professors and inspiration from her internship experiences. Gretchen is an elementary education major in Millikin's School of Education and is also pursuing an endorsement in special education.
Lockharts take on Millikin together
When Brandon and Megan Lockhart decided to go back to school together and pursue their undergraduate degrees at Millikin University, it was with a wealth of experience and foundation of success already under their belts. The husband and wife pair are the founders and previous owners of Lockhart’s Barber Shop and Lockhart’s Barber College, both successful businesses in Central Illinois, as well as owners of more than 100 rental units.

Millikin honors the Class of 2021 at Winter Commencement
Families and friends gathered in Kirkland Fine Arts Center on Millikin University's campus on Dec. 12 to recognize the newest Big Blue alums from the Class of 2021 at Winter Commencement. Millikin conferred 104 baccalaureate and graduate degrees.
This year, Millikin honored traditional undergraduates and those receiving their Doctor of Nursing Practice degrees with an in-person commencement ceremony.
Dr. Kaitlin Glause named Executive Secretary for IATE
Millikin University has been named the host institution for the Illinois Association of Teachers of English (IATE). The appointment will take effect starting July 1, 2022.
Nontraditional students awarded scholarships from Community Foundation of Macon County
Four nontraditional Macon County students from Millikin University received scholarship awards in Nov. 2021 to help them pursue their dreams of completing a college education to earn degrees in nursing, organizational leadership and early childhood education.

Millikin University President Dr. Jim Reynolds announced on Nov. 18, 2021, that Mary Black has been named permanent provost and RJ Podeschi named permanent dean of the Tabor School of Business, effective immediately.
