From Student to Professor
Ben Cohan, BFA 2006, went on to receive his MFA in Painting and Drawing from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. Ben is Assistant Professor of Art at Lakeland College in Mattoon Illinois. Ben has exhibited his artwork throughout the Midwest. http://mbencohan.com/home.html
Robert Fifield, BFA Studio Art 2005, went on to receive his MFA Degree in Painting/Drawing at Illinois State University. Robert is teaching painting and printmaking at Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington. Robert’s work has been exhibited throughout the United States. Teaching and Creating
Angie Zielinski, BFA Studio Art 2003, is a cross-disciplinary artist working within painting, drawing and installation. Her work investigates events that are interpreted as celebratory or violent, depending on personal and cultural experiences. Carnivals, fireworks, and war zones consist of moments of fragility, stability, danger and awe; Zielinski explores the underlying fears and excitement found in such events.
International Street Art
Eric Lee, BFA 2002. Eric is a full time artist living and working in Chicago. He has exhibited his work in both Chicago and Paris. He has created murals around the world including Chicago, London, Amsterdam, Barcelona, and Osaka. Jamie Kotewa graduated in 2001 with a B.F.A. in Art Therapy. Kotewa graduated from Purdue University in 2003 with her Master of Arts degree before returning to Millikin University to teach. She served as Lecturer of Art, teaching drawing and photography courses, and Instructor/Manager for Blue Connection, Millikin’s retail art gallery, where she taught the Entrepreneurship in the Arts course. Kotewa’s work has been displayed in solo exhibitions throughout Decatur and at the Wells Cultural Center in Lafayette, Indiana. She has received awards from the Quincy Art Center and Ivy Tech State College, among others.
