Memorial for Jane Fuesting Welch ’63
Jane Welch, 75, of Decatur, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2017 in Eureka, Mo.
Jane was born October 5, 1941 in Lincoln, the daughter of Louis and Clara (Esker) Fuesting. Jane helped establish the “Helping Each Other Recover” (HER) for Cancer Care in 1999, was an active member of PEO and Junior Welfare, served on the board of Millikin Homestead and was a lifetime member of Parson’s PTA. She enjoyed volunteering for the American Heart Association, DMH Cancer Care and other charities in Decatur. She was a proud wife, mother, grandmother and a smiling supportive friend.
Surviving is her husband of 53 years, William Welch and her daughters: Kimberly Ricchio and husband Steven of Bloomingdale, IL , and Kristin Allen and husband Rob of Eureka,MO; grandchildren: Ashleigh and Alexandra (Kimberly) and Danielle and Megan Moll (Kristin), Shelby, George and Charlie Allen (Rob); sister, Doris Moazed and spouse Mohamed, Mother-in-law, Mary Welch and Brother-in-law, Bradney Welch. Preceding her in death are her parents and sister, Rita.
Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate her life will be 4 pm, Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Rev. Richard W. Weltin, celebrant. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1:30 pm to 3:30pm at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Decatur Memorial Foundation in honor of Cancer Care Center, HER or Our Lady of Lourdes Church.
The family would like to thank Dr. Ben Esparaz and the Cancer Care Center in Decatur, IL and Vitas Hospice in St. Louis, MO for their outstanding care and loving concern shown to Jane and her family.
