Boston, MA – Caroline Brown Tinkham of Boston, Massachusetts, died peacefully in the home she loved so well on November 15, 2017. She was born on June 7th, 1928 in Springfield, IL to the late Owsley and Mary B. Brown.

She graduated from Millikin University and moved to Boston where she earned a master's degree in social work and counseling from Simmons College. It was in Boston that she met her future husband, William K. Tinkham, a history professor at a local college. He preceded her in death in 2009.

For many years Caroline practiced her profession at Massachusetts General Hospital until she went into semi retirement and established a small private practice in her home for another ten years.
