Memorial for Anastasia Sullivan Roach ’59
ANASTASIA S. ROACH, 79, of Fort Wayne, boarded her last ArtTrek bus to be with her husband of 45 years, Joel, on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. She was born on Jan. 30, 1938 in Springfield, Ill. She attended Blessed Sacrament Grade School and Sacred Heart High School. She then graduated from Millikin University and the University of Illinois. She was a member of Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and Travel Coordinator with ArtTreks. Anastasia was a Blue Star Mother, Cub Scout Den Mother and Girl Scout Leader. She enjoyed Art League, Creative Cookery, music, traveling, camping and literature. She is survived by her son, David C. Roach of Fort Wayne; daughters, Julie (Jeff) Cusick and Patti (Dan Dixon) Lindsay, both of Fort Wayne; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Anastasia was preceded in death by her parents, William and Dorothy Sullivan; and husband, Joel Kelly Roach. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, with calling one hour prior. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, 2017, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, with a Vigil at 3:30 p.m. Burial in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
