Liberty “Libby” Moore, 35, of Taylorville, died at 6:14 a.m., Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Taylorville Memorial Hospital ER. Libby was born December 23, 1981, the daughter of William D. and Betty (Riffey) Moore. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Taylorville. Libby graduated from Taylorville High School in 2000, and went on to earn her Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing from Milikin University. She enjoyed her work as a nurse, and in her spare time she read many books. She was a member of the Taylorville Chapter of the Illinois Federation of Business Women, where she served as Scholarship Chair. Libby was membership chairman for the Illinois Cheerleader Coaches Association, where she was highly involved in coaching cheerleaders and judging cheer competitions. She was also an official for the Illinois High School Association. Libby treasured the time she spent with her nieces. She was a wonderful person and her presence will be dearly missed.

Libby is survived by her parents, William and Betty Moore of Taylorville; one brother: Justin (Shannon) Moore of St. Louis, Mo; foster sister: Cheri Brown of Gainesville, FL; aunts and uncles: Ron (Bonnie) Riffey, Diane (Mark Napierkowski) Moore; Robert (Diane) Moore; Joan (Dan) Doerfler; many cousins, and four very dear nieces. She was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 28, 2017 at McClure Funeral Home, with Rev. Steven Robinson officiating. Burial will take place in Virden Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 – 7 p.m. Thursday, also in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Taylorville Chapter IFBW Scholarship Fund.
