ArmyMemorial for Robert “Bob” Hug ’51

DECATUR -- Robert (Bob) W. Hug, 90, of Decatur, IL went to see his Lord Wednesday, December 20, 2017, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Decatur, IL.

Visitation will be at 10:00 am followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am on Friday, January 5, 2018 at Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church, 345 W. Main Street, Mt. Zion, IL 62549. Burial will be in North Fork Cemetery.

Bob was born August 2, 1927 in Evanston, Illinois, the son of Ralph F. and Julia E. Hug. He worked as a Real Estate Appraiser for Rothfuss & Hug. Bob graduated from Millikin University in 1951. Bob was a World War II Veteran, a member of the Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church, and a past Elder of Woodland Chapel Presbyterian Church.

Bob is survived by three children, Michael (Theresa) Hug of Hayward, CA; Brian Hug of Bloomington, IL; and Carrie Hug of Alexandria, VA; and five grandchildren, Kimberly (Alex) of NY, Christopher (Cynthia) of CA, Matthew of AZ, Jacob (Jenny) of IL, and Caleb of IL; and one great granddaughter, Leila.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Anne Hug; his daughter-in-law, MaryAnn, and granddaughter Amanda.
