Memorial for Jane Hessler Drennan ’60
Jane H. Drennan, 79, of Quincy, died at 3:25 a.m. Saturday, May 5, 2018, at Blessing Hospital.
Jane was born Sept. 12, 1938, in St. Louis, Mo., the daughter of Roy R. and Emily Hoker Hessler. On July 21, 1962 she married Dr. David B. Drennan in Webster Groves, Mo., and he preceded her in death on Nov. 30, 2017.
Jane was a 1956 graduate of Kirkwood High School. She graduated from Millikin University and St. Luke School of Nursing in 1960. She was employed as an R.N. for St. Luke Hospital and the St. Louis County Health Department. Jane was a member of the Women's Symphony Association.
Survivors include her three children, Thomas L. (Leesa) Drennan of Farmington, Mo., Kathryn L. (James) Carver of Quincy, and John D. (Shelly) Drennan of Brighton, Colo.; and three grandchildren, Megan Drennan of Moberly, Mo., and Emilee (Dillon) Butler, of Germany and Drennan Carver, of Quincy.
In addition to her husband, David, Jane was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Mary L. Moorhead and Barbara A. Muchmore.
SERVICES: A private service will be held at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Disseler officiating.
VISITATION: 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at the funeral home.
MEMORIALS: Quincy Humane Society, Blessing Foundation for Hospice or the Blessing Cancer Center.
