Virtual Audition Requirements 

According to the instructions and schedule below, you will upload links to your audition material – song, monologue, and dance - to the Theatre: Unified Auditions Moodle page.

Song

  • Choose one of the songs from the lists provided in the SONGS folder located on the Theatre: Unified Auditions Moodle page.  
  • You can choose any song you want from either the MALE or FEMALE list, but the accompaniment track provided is in the same key as the sheet music.  Keep that in mind as you choose your material.
  • Accompaniment tracks are the professional property of Beth Creighton.  You are allowed to use them for the Fall 2020 Unified Auditions ONLY.  

Monologue

  • Choose an excerpt from a significant piece of American oratory – a speech by a President, political candidate or activist, First Lady, or other prominent political figure. You are free to re-envision the context of the speech and deliver it as yourself, or do it as that particular political figure. (TIME LIMIT – 90 seconds)

Audition Schedule

Monday, August 24 –     

12pm – The dance call combination video will be uploaded to the DANCE CALL folder on the Theatre: Unified Auditions Moodle page by 12pm for students to start learning.  This combination will also double as the audition for participation in Dance Lab.

 

Tuesday, August 25 –     

12pm – SOPHOMORES & SENIORS:  Links to your song and monologue materials are to be uploaded to the appropriate folders on the Theatre: Unified Auditions Moodle page by 12pm. 

 

Wednesday, August 26 – 

12pm - FIRST YEAR/FRESHMEN & JUNIORS:  Links to your song and monologue materials are to be uploaded to the appropriate folders on the Theatre: Unified Auditions Moodle page by 12pm. 

 

Friday, August 28 – 

12pm - ALL AUDITIONEES:  Links to your dance materials are to be uploaded to the appropriate folders on the Theatre: Unified Auditions Moodle page by 12pm. 

Saturday, August 29 – CALLBACKS

The Race – 10am-12pm – Large Acting Studio

Some Enchanted Evening/Songs for a New World – 2-5pm - KFAC
