Fall Unified Auditions

ELF

Monday, August 22 – Saturday, August 27

(Updated 5-27-22)

Audition Process

Because Everybody auditions occurred in May 2022, you are only being asked to sing a song and complete a dance call for Fall 2022 Unified Auditions.

Audition Requirements

Song

  • Please sing an uptempo, lighthearted/warm-hearted, contemporary musical theatre cut that shows range (both vocally and in your acting choices).
  • No cut should be longer than 1:15.
  • Some composers and/or shows to look at as a starting point include, but are not limited to: Kooman and Dimond, Joey Contreras, Carner and Gregor, Matthew Sklar (The Wedding Singer, The Prom), Pasek & Paul (A Christmas Story), Young Frankenstein, Heathers, Mean Girls, etc.

DO NOT sing anything from Elf.
DO NOT sing a classical musical theater or pop/rock selection.

Dance

You will learn two dance combinations. Elf will include a tap combo and a traditional musical theatre dance combo.  Tap shoes, jazz and/or character shoes are preferred. Sometimes the www.nydancestore.com has a clearance section with really good deals... check it out!
